Executive Summary

The Work ED AI Discovery Program, hosted at Amazon Headquarters and sponsored by Amazon, offered BMCC students an immersive and hands-on experience in artificial intelligence. Designed to equip students with essential AI skills, the program covered a range of cutting-edge topics including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), image generation, and machine learning.

Throughout the program, students explored the practical applications of generative AI tools and LLMs, enhancing their ability to leverage these technologies for problem-solving and innovation across various industries. They learned about image generation techniques, enabling them to utilize AI in creative fields such as media and design. A key component of the curriculum was the development of chatbots, where students gained insights into natural language processing and the deployment of AI in customer service contexts.
