A unique work-based learning experience
Students will team up to create a Food Truck to experience what it takes to design and launch their own business.
Throughout the project, students will develop a:
Food Truck Concept Business Plan
Food Truck Concept Physical Outside Design (one side of a food truck)
Brand Guidelines
Sales Funnel & Webpage
Marketing video
Signature Food Truck Dish
Investor Pitch Deck and prep for “Tasting Event”
Cross-Collaboration Process
Work as a team to create a concept, branding, advertising, pitching, and launch of a successful food truck.
Module 1: IDEATION & DESIGN
Entrepreneurship and Culinary students team up to create a Food Truck business concept which they refine over a period of time.
Entrepreneurship and Advertising students work together to mock up the design concept for the front of the food truck.
Module 2: CREATION
Advertising students create the webpage and google ad campaign for the food truck concept.
Culinary students create the main dish based on the original concept for the meal to be sold.
Module 3: BUILD
Entrepreneurship & Advertising and CNC students work together to design the side of the concept including cutting the wood and also finalizing the painting/decal design from the mock up.
Module 4: LAUNCH
Students team up to present their dish and food truck at events on the Navy Yard. Advertising, and Culinary students will team up to facilitate “selling” the meals to those who attend.
