Ben Crenshaw - Head of Cyber Education
National Cyber Teacher of the year Nominee
Ben Crenshaw is a pioneer in bridging the gap between Cyber education and industry. As a high school cybersecurity teacher, he saw the vast reservoir of untapped potential and talent held back by inadequate resources and opportunities and was driven to do something about it—because he knows how badly the nation needs a dedicated new generation of cyber defenders.
Before moving into education, Ben honed his skills as a Senior Vulnerability Analyst at Oracle, a Fortune 500-listed company (and therefore a huge target for hackers). In this role, he worked to protect this crucial software company from ever-evolving digital threats and vulnerabilities, needing to stay ahead of attackers who work tirelessly to find new ways to break into digital systems. It's his mission to find and mentor the next generation of cyber talent that can stay one step ahead of the bad actors threatening America's digital infrastructure.
At Work ED, Ben is committed to creating pathways for students and facilitating their smooth transition from school to industry. Through robust partnerships, real-world exposure, and an emphasis on lifelong learning, Ben's mission is to advocate for students and prepare the next generation of cyber defenders.

Tyreese, Cyber Pathway Grad

Jodestee, Cyber Pathway Graduate
"It was really good, the mentors and the instructors, they were all very supportive of what we were doing and they made sure that they could help us in any way that they found possible."

“Having this group around me ... it was really fun and interactive. We went in and chose how to do a proper cybersecurity launch, what decisions you'd need to make so that a company wouldn't be attacked.”
