Teaching Assistant Internship

Paid opportunities for high school students to gain experience and give back to their community in every school district we operate in

We work with districts all over the nation to run extended learning programs that propel students forward

Give high school students a chance to flourish

High-flying high schoolers crave that extra push to stand out in the job market. We give it to them.

As part of our afterschool and intersession offering, we include a paid teaching assistant program because we believe in creating community. That means giving opportunities to locals who want to give back.

Teaching Assistants are given responsibilities so they can challenge and prove themselves while being surrounded by positive mentorship—and they’re well paid for their contributions.

An opportunity to give back and gain experience

  • Cultivating growth in communities

We believe that serving communities means generating growth and spreading wealth wherever we go.

We hire and train Teaching Assistant’s from the communities we serve so that elementary and middle school students have members of their own community to look up and be inspired by.

  • Guidance, mentorship, experience

Our Teaching Assistant program is designed to progressively challenge high schoolers to get out of their comfort zone and take responsibility

TAs are required to keep track of their own hours and learn to use software and collaborate with our HR team—just like they would in any workplace.

  • Easy to set up—we do the hard work

We aim to make every program we run easy to set up for school districts. We do the advertising, interviewing, hiring, training and reporting for the entire program.

After the program ends, we’ll be here for all our TA graduates, offering letters of recommendation, employment opportunities where available, and continuing mentorship.

I feel like it's really helped with my communication skills a lot ... and being prepared for whatever's thrown at you."

Katrina - Teaching Assistant

Bailey - Teaching Assistant

"What I've learnt from Work ED is that we make learning fun in a way and it makes the students really appreciate that and they get more engaged. I worked with the kids, that really helped with my communication skills, and I presented to them a couple of times, that helped me out with public speaking in a way, it made me more comfortable."
